Summary
Today, I launch my first-ever newsletter, The PAC. I will be discussing topics around privacy, accessibility, and cybersecurity, the three core building blocks of a safe and accessible digital world. See you in the next edition.
Diligence.
That is my word for 2026. Happy New Year!
Towards the end of last year, I came to accept the bitter truth that I had become complacent in my career. As they say, nothing fails like success. To get back on track, I knew I needed systems, not one-off fixes. After much thought, picking up prolific writing again was top on my list. There is a high return on investment (ROI) for writing, which I will discuss further in a future post.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to my newsletter, where I will discuss the domains that are currently within my sphere of interest. That is Privacy, Accessibility, and Cybersecurity. Hence, The PAC. I won’t fall into the trap of promising a frequency; you will get a notification whenever I have something worth your attention.
Another thing I thought a lot about towards the end of last year was trying to figure out if I should focus on just privacy (for which I have two IAPP certifications and UK work experience) or accessibility (for which I have lived experience as someone who is hard-of-hearing), or cybersecurity (a domain I transitioned into in 2023). Eventually, I came to the conclusion that I did not have to pick one thing, as these three domains are the backbones of the digital world. Everyone wants a digital world where their privacy is respected, there are no barriers that exclude them, and it is safe.
From experience, stacking related skills, as I am doing with PAC, makes one a valuable asset wherever they find themselves. Sometimes, one’s stacked experience can perfectly align with an opportunity, making one a preferred candidate. For example, a project on web3 privacy could be a good fit for me, considering my background in blockchain and privacy.
That said, this newsletter will share my thoughts and findings on everything PAC. Although you can expect at least 50% of my focus to be on accessibility, as that is a key priority for me in 2026. If you have questions about the three domains, please don’t hesitate to contact me, and I will address them in a future edition. In the next edition, I will discuss the 5 Ws of Digital Accessibility: What, Who, Why, Where, and When.
I know I have said the focus will be PAC; nevertheless, you can expect occasional topics that are out of scope but still very much relevant. For example, how to write winning essays for global opportunities.
Thank you for your support, and see you in the next edition!
